About Us

Media Valley is a French company that develops and produces audiovisual and film production projects for kids and family with strong international potential. Created in 2010 by Natalie Altmann, former director of M6 Kids programs, Media Valley is based in Paris.

The company has delivered six animated series, both in CGI and in 2D. “The Triplets” (78×7’) for France TV and Universal, in coproduction with La Station Animation, adapted from the books by Nicole Lambert ; “Zoom the White Dolphin – Seasons 1 and 2” (104×13’) for TF1, Tiji and ZDF, in coproduction with Marzipan Films adapted from Vladimir Tartakovsky and Marc Bonnet’s characters ; “Ernest & Rebecca” (52×13’) for TF1, Canal + and ZDF adapted from Guillaume Bianco and Antonello Dalena’s comic books ; the associated mini-series “Stay Healthy with Ernest & Rebecca” (10×2’) in coproduction with 2 Minutes to teach children good hygiene and health habits and “Nicholas’ Fantastic Summer” (52×12’) for M6 and Warner Media in coproduction with Belvision and adapted from René Goscinny’s and Jean-Jacques Sempé’s work. Each of these series are regularly ranked as among the top animated programs for children on all French channels combined (see Mediametrie, Kids TV Report, January-June 2021).

Media Valley’s currently developing several animated projects. Among them, the animated series « LOUCA » (26×22’) adapted from Bruno Dequier’s famous comic-book and, also, “Zoom the White Dolphin – Season 3” (52×13’).

In addition to our new animated series’ developments, Media Valley is diversifying into international fiction, with its first live-action children’s fiction co-produced with the Scottish company, Black Camel Pictures and in association with CBBC. The company has also expanded into digital and international distribution; Media Valley now owns several YouTube channels linked to its properties and sells its catalog directly or through selected agents in selected territories.

Producing its own projects on its own or in coproduction, Media Valley collaborates with a large pool of partners, broadcasters, and distributors such as France TV, Canal +, TF1, M6, Warner Media, ZDF, ZDF Studios, CyberGroup, Mediatoon, MediaWan, etc.

NATALIE ALTMANN

Natalie Altmann

Acknowledged as an animation industry expert, Natalie Altmann launched her production company, Media Valley in 2010. Based in Paris, Media Valley is specialized in the development and production of high-end children and family projects, either for cinema or television, targeting the international market.

On top of developing her own IPs, Natalie Altmann has been working as an advisor and an executive producer on several projects, including the animated features; Asterix, the Mansions of the Gods (3 million admissions in France), released in 2014, Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion, (4 million admissions in France) released in 2018 and the series Arthur and the Minimoys for Storia Television.

Natalie Altmann was M6 – a French private broadcaster – Head of Children’s Programs, from 1997 to 2009, where she developed a diversified Youth Activities Pole, ranging from in house production, animation coproductions, to acquisition and programming. In addition to her broadcasting responsibilities, she created and oversaw M6 Studio, the M6 production company dedicated to animation and fiction, and produced the animated feature film Asterix and the Vikings, released in 2006, as well as the animated series Little Nick (104 x 13’) based on Goscinny’s and Sempé’s work.

Before joining M6, Natalie Altmann was Head of Development at Saban International Paris, where she supervised, from 1992 to 1997, the development and writing of numerous animated series for the French, European and international markets.

Graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies, Natalie Altmann also holds a Master of Arts in Communication, from the Annenberg School for Communication (University of Southern California in Los Angeles).

Natalie Altmann also managed the organization of Annecy’s International Film Festival “Creation” and “Business” conferences up until 2019 and has been elected President of the TV Branch of AnimFrance (the union representing French animation producers) in 2021.

Adriana Carlier

Adriana Carlier

Adriana Carlier began her professional career in 2007. While working for several production companies (Futurikon, Gaumont Animation, Zagtoon, On Entertainment), she oversaw the production of a dozen series, including “Dude that’s my ghost” and “Miraculous Ladybug – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir” for M6, TF1, Disney and a number of other international broadcasters.

She joined the Media Valley team in 2016 as Head of Productions. In charge of supervising the development and production of series, she has managed the projects: “Ernest & Rebecca” and “Nicholas’ Fantastic Summer!”.

In her position, she is responsible for the preparation of grant applications and project budgets and liaises with various partners: technical teams, subcontractors, broadcasters… from development to post-production.

Audrey Fine

Audrey started her professional career in 2008 as a production assistant for Digital Banana Studio.

She joined the adversiting company, Prodigious, first as the 3D/VFX team’s production manager and, three years later, Audrey became their head of productions.

She eventually returned to her first love : animation. After 2 years of being the head of production at Gaumont animation, on the show « Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles » and on various other developments, Audrey joined the Media Valley team as head of production on « Zoom the White Dolphin – Season 3 ».

Hakim Akcha

Eager to take part in the French animation development and production, Hakim joins Media Valley, as a production and digital assistant in March 2021. Following his internship, Hakim is hired in October 2021 as Media Valley’s regular production assistant and becomes, in February 2023, production manager. He’s now in charge of Media Valley’s administrative follow-up. He assists Natalie Altmann and Adriana Carlier over the whole range of projects and productions conducted by Media Valley. Hakim also is in charge of Media Valley’s website, social networks and digital communication. Before Media Valley, Hakim acquired a first professional experience as a project manager assistant in Ubisoft.

Graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies, Hakim has a degree in Cultural Public Policy and Management. Hakim also holds a master’s degree from La Sorbonne’s Digital, Media and Cinema’s curriculum.

Mounia Aram

Mounia Aram

Mounia Aram is an animation specialist with more than 17 years of experience in this field. After studying oriental languages at INALCO, Paris, she had the opportunity to join ShoPro Entertainment, a company specialized in Japanese animation based in San Francisco.

During her career, she has been exposed to many aspects of distribution and production worldwide, from Europe to Asia, including the United States and Africa. Mounia Aram focus on the production and distribution of animated content in Africa and the Middle East.

In 2019, she founded Mounia Aram Company, a company specialized in consulting and program distribution. As such, Mounia Aram is now supporting Media Valley in its international deployment.
